These questions will not be answered in writing individually.

What is the photograph standard quality?

Almost all of the photographs feature the following standards: A4 size, 300 dpi resolution, jpg format, 2 to 5 MB size.Note: Although the original shows the 72 dpi resolution, in fact, it is the 300 dpi resolution for the A4 size.

Have you not found any photograph you were looking for?

Have you used our advanced search? If you still have not found the photograph concerned in our photo bank, this means the photographs is not available.

Is it possible to give the authors’ names in the photo gallery?

Yes, it is possible.

Whom are the photographs intended for?

They are intended for a broad expert as well as general public for promotion and non-commercial purposes.

How can I place my photograph in the photo bank?

The process is described in detail in the “Add Photo” section. We prefer such photographs that will thematically match the categories of our photo bank.

Do you buy any photographs?

At the present time, we purchase no photographs. We receive photographs free of charge (not in return for payment) just for promotional and non-commercial purposes.

In case you are interested in using the photographs for commercial purposes (e. g., for marketed publications), it is necessary for you to approach the author. It is the author that is allowed to consent to the use of his work! (See the Conditions of the Use)

Why is there a watermark in the photographs?

The watermark is a part of protection against the misuse of the photographs as the source of the relevant photograph is always evident. Any person that removes the watermark illegally and uses any photograph for purposes other than non-commercial runs the risk of being sanctioned. (See the Conditions of the Use).
No photographs without the watermark are available.

May I place any photograph in my web sites?

It is illegal to create a data base (or a gallery or a data bank) made up of the CzechTourism photographs on any web site. On condition that the watermark (specifying the source) remains in the photograph and your web presentation is not intended for the direct commercial use (e. g., on-line sales), then the rules of the use are not broken and copyright protection is observed.
